Week 12

Hope everyone has had a very Merry Christmas!

Here we are at Week 12. One more week and we are in the second trimester.

This week (December 31) we have our second dr appt.

Our little "Jelly Bean" is no longer a jelly bean at all.

This week is the most dramatic development week. Reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over two inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

See you next week :)

Week 11

We are almost done with the first trimester.. Whoo hoo!

Our baby this week is just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig. It is now almost fully formed. The hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under the gums, and some of the bones are beginning to harden. Kicking and stretching are also beginning this week.

Week 10

These weeks are just flying by... I feel amazing!!

Our baby this week is just
barely the size of a kumquat and is a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom -- and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce. The baby now has completed the most critical portion of his development.

Week 9

I am still feeling amazing. Just a little tired at times but I am not complaining at all.

This week our Jelly Bean has grown. It is between 22 and 30 mm long, (that's about an inch) or about the size of a large grape.

Our First Dr. Appt

December 1, 2009 (Week 8) was our first Dr. Appointment.

We got to see our little Jelly bean today.

We are 8 weeks 3 days pregnant. The baby's due date is July 12th. We got to hear the heart beat and it was a rapidly 156 beats.

Everything is going amazingly well. Still no sickness at all (knock on wood) our next appointment is December 31st.

The Day We Found Out

On November 1, 2009 Jon and I (with 4 of our very best friends) were leaving on a 7 day cruise out of Tampa Florida. That morning at 7:00am I took a pregnancy test and found out we were pregnant. What a way to start a vacation. I could not wait to start making the phone calls that morning. :)

Our Cruise was a blast other then the hurricane we road through on the second to last day. Of course being pregnant, I couldn't take any motion sickness medicine so laying in bed most of the day was my medicine.

So far so good on the morning sickness. I felt great the whole week!
